US President Donald Trump said on Friday that the North Korea Summit might still take place as previously scheduled on June 12, speaking in front of the White House in Washington, D.C.
“We’ll see what happens, it could even be the 12th [of June],” Trump said pointing out ongoing negotiations with the North Korean party.
“They very much want to do it, we’d like to do it,” he added.
On Thursday, Trump cancelled his planned US-North Korea summit in a letter addressed to Kim, citing ‘tremendous anger and open hostility’ displayed in Pyongyang’s most recent statements.
