Twenty injured in Texas chemical plant explosion

 

One person is missing and 20 people have been injured after an explosion at a chemical plant near Houston in Texas on Saturday.

The incident took place at the Kuraray America Eval factory in Pasadena, which produces chemicals. It is believed that the blast was caused by a malfunctioning valve. Some 250 people were reportedly at the plant at the time of the explosion.

According to officials, the fire has been extinguished and there is no threat to the public.
