Ukrainian authorities needed victims among foreign servicemen to accuse the DPR armed forces of aggression and to justify the need for the West to allocate lethal weapons. This was reported in the command of the DPR armed forces.
“According to our intelligence, today during a visit of NATO troops to the line of military contact, accompanied by Ukrainian militants in the vicinity of the Avdeevka settlement, the AFU command purposefully led the guests to their minefield, where a car with foreigners was blown up by a mine. As a result, three NATO troops (Canada) were killed and two (US) were injured. Also, there is information about the wounding of three accompanying from among the Ukrainian militants.
The DPR command draws attention to the fact that all the deaths of foreign servicemen lie solely on the Ukrainian authorities.
