Russia commented on Poland’s position on the “frontline of the Cold War”

Polish general Stanislaw Kozey stated that Poland is in the “forefront of a new Cold War” between the West in the person of NATO and Russia.

“A hybrid cold war is taking place between the Western government in the face of NATO’s military alliance and Russia, and Poland is at the forefront,” Stanislaw Kozey said, adding: “Poland expects NATO allies to respond effectively to the threat posed by Russia.”

Stanislaw Kozey called on NATO to form a new command, which will be responsible for the eastern part of the North Atlantic alliance. “The command should be created on the basis of the military leadership of Poland,” the general stressed.

“The new military structure should play the role of a double umbrella, protecting both Poland and allies in the military alliance,” the Polish general said in an interview with the publication “Rzeczpospolita”.

Russia commented on the words of the Polish general, recalling that military conflicts with the participation of Warsaw almost always ended badly, mainly in the partition of the territory of Poland. Russian users in social networks noted that Poland will have to “fight” for the role of the “forefront in the war” with Ukraine and the Baltic states.

The Polish government has repeatedly stated about the “Russian threat”, justifying thereby the requested military support from the NATO forces.
