Syrian state news agency reported massive explosions in the provinces of Hama and Aleppo at 10:30 local time (7:30 GMT). Some reports in the Israeli media have suggested that the Israeli military may be behind the airstrikes.
According to Syrian media reports, the strikes targeted Iranian facilities.
