20 people were reportedly killed in an airstrike carried out by the Saudi-led coalition in southwestern Yemen on Friday.

Witnesses said the airstrike hit a car allegedly carrying 20 passengers, south of Taiz province.

The Saudi-led bombing campaign continues in Yemen with US backing. The United Nations estimated that more than 10,000 have been killed and more than three million people have been displaced since beginning of the war in March 2015.

The war devastating Yemen is now in its third year, with human rights organisations repeatedly accusing the Saudi-led coalition of bombing civilian areas.
