German theater offers playgoers to wear a Swastika in scandalous social commentary

mein kampf premiere

In Germany, theatergoers were invited to attend the premiere of the performance for free if they agree to wear a swastika issued at the entrance to the theater. Those who refuse to go for free and pay for their ticket are asked to wear a “star of david” a hebrew symbol fascists used to mark Jews. The idea caused a massive scandal in the country, local.de writes.

The play is named after Adolf’s Hitler famous book, Mein Kampf. The premiere will be held on Friday, April 20, on the anniversary of the birth of the Nazi leader. As the organizers of the event said, the performance is a parody of Hitler’s youth, and such a proposal for a free pass is intended to show how easily people can abandon their principles and succumb to temptation. However, this caused an outrage in media.

Police of the city of Constanta, where the theater is located, promises to investigate the incident.
