Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin expresses regret at the fact that the EU and NATO have kept silent “when Hashim Thaci (the president of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo) threatens with weapons and Ramush Haradinaj (Prime Minister) talks about some eastern Kosovo,” reports Monday the press office of the department.
Earlier, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic reminded that these were not the first threatening statements on the part of Pristina, and Belgrade drew the European Union’s attention to this.
“When Isa Mustafa, as premier, received the presidents and representatives of political parties from Presevo, Bujanovets and Medvedja, he also said that he was meeting with representatives of “eastern Kosovo.” I then reacted and wrote to the EU,” Dacic said.
“When Thaci threatens with weapons, we all understand that he will still have to ask those whom these weapons belong to, Serbia does not react and will call for peace,” the minister added.
Today at the solemn opening ceremony of the highway from Pristina Ramush Haradinaj said that this road will connect Kosovo with the “eastern Kosovo” – the territories of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja in the south of Central Serbia – territories with a high percentage of Albanian population outside the autonomous province of Kosovo and Metohija.
