Serbian general on Syria: West has ran out of arguments back in Yugoslavia

Mitar Kovac

The rising tensions over Syrian crisis are unavoidable, says Director of the Eurasian Security Forum, Serbian military-political analyst, retired major-general Mitar Kovac.

As he explained in his interview to NewsFront, this is due to the fact that Syrian crisis was orchestrated by the West to establish dominance in the Middle East, as well as secure use of oil, gas and a potential pipeline to Europe.

“This was simply carried over from England, as the Skripal’s case ran out of steam, and with no more plausible lies they needed a new crisis.”

“If you delve into the history a bit, you could recall how the militants chemical arsenals were mentioned five month ago, six month ago, even two years ago. Aparently, western strategists ran out of mass crimes and dramatic arguments back in Yugoslavia civil war”

“I am sure that the latest chemical attack in Syria is simply a false flag to provoke positive media response and evoke some sense of compassion from the public – to justify military intervention in a war they are losing”

When asked about the role of UN in this crisis, Kovac recalled similar cases in Yugoslavia

“The “blue helmet” UN troops regularly supplied Bosniak muslims with weapons and ammunition through Serbian blockades. Now we see the Syrian “White helmets” laying groundwork for a repeat. If this was carried out without UN involvement, then they were at least informed about it.”

“Something similar would be the worst-case scenario for Syria and Russia” he adds.
