Sebastian Kurz: Austria will not expel Russian diplomats

Before the EU summit in Brussels, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said that his country would not expel Russian diplomats in solidarity with the UK over the Salisbury incident, where, under unknown circumstances, a former British spy, Skripal, was poisoned.

The head of the Austrian government explained his decision by the fact that Austria expressed its solidarity with Britain by very clearly condemning the attack.

Kurz recalled that the European Union withdrew its ambassador in Moscow for consultations. However, according to him, Austria does not see the need for such unproductive actions as the expulsion of Russian diplomats.
