The heads of the foreign ministries of Russia, Turkey and Iran are going to adopt a joint statement on March 16 in the course of the meeting on Syria in Astana. Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov told Wednesday reporters in the lower chamber of the republic’s parliament.
“According to the information available to me, the guarantor countries, the heads of the ministries of foreign affairs of Russia, Turkey and Iran intend to adopt a joint statement.” Perhaps this document will reflect the main directions for the promotion of the Astana process, including possible dates for the next round negotiations, “Abdrakhmanov said.
According to him, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has high hopes for the meeting of the foreign ministers of the three countries in Astana.
