Ukrainian was beaten in Poland due to his nationality

In the city of Wroclaw in the west of Poland, two local residents attacked the Ukrainian because of his nationality. This is reported in the Facebook Center for Monitoring of Racism and Xenophobia.

The incident occurred in a tram. On the page of the organization there is a footage from the CCTV camera. It is reported that two Poles first shouted insults at the man, and then beat him.

The police began to search for intruders. Witnesses of the incident were asked to contact the Center’s staff.

In recent years, relations between Kiev and Warsaw have become tense, mainly against the backdrop of discussions about events that relate to issues of historical memory. Warsaw condemns the position of Kiev in glorifying the “Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists – the Ukrainian Insurgent Army”, and also criticize the regular acts of vandalism against Polish memory places on the territory of Ukraine.
