Syrian air defense opened fire on US aircraft

The situation in the Syrian province of Deir ez Zor remains tense for almost a month now. Three weeks after trying to regain control over Damascus oil fields and an oil refinery, the pro-Syrian forces did not advance even a meter. However, on the morning of February 27, a “jerk” took place in the direction of the Konoko Gas Processing Plant, which resulted in a short-term battle with the Kurdish units.

According to local sources, in response to this attack, the US Coalition jet attacked the Syrian forces. Those, in turn, carried out launches of anti-aircraft missiles on fighters.

None of the parties has yet commented on this incident. However, these reports seem quite logical: the United States, as before, delineates the “red line” for which the Syrians should not move, and pro-government forces, taught by bitter experience, began to use anti-aircraft systems against the threat.
