A reporter narrowly escaped injury, or worse, after a shell launched by Turkish forces into Kurdish-held Afrin landed nearby on Tuesday.
Images show the reporter giving a piece to camera shortly before a shell strikes the ground a few hundred metres down the road from him and his crew.
Pro-Syrian government militias had begun entering the area following Turkey’s military involvement to oust Kurds from the area in recent weeks, dubbed ‘Operation Olive Branch’ by Turkish President Tayyip Recep Erdogan.
