The opposition Syrian negotiating commission, which decided not to participate in the Syrian congress, will recognize its results if approved by the UN and the special envoy of the organization, spokesman for the commission told.
“The results depend on the special envoy (Staffan de Mistura). The UN will decide whether the results of the congress are consistent with international resolutions on Syria or not. For our part … The criterion of recognition depends on whether the results will contribute to the implementation of international resolutions and a real political transition in Syria,” al-Aridi said.
