One person was killed and at least two injured in a shooting in Amsterdam on Friday evening.
Dutch police reported the shooting to have happened in the Centrum Oost area in Grote Wittenburgerstraat.
Emergency services were seen on the cordoned-off scene as police searched for evidence.
Police wrote on their Twitter account that “multiple shots [were] discharged, multiple casualties”. They said an extensive investigation was underway.
A police spokesman was quoted by local media as saying the shooting didn’t seem to be an attack, but a conflict in the criminal circuit.
