Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov commented on the creation of the US security forces on the Syrian borders with Turkey and Iraq. According to the minister, these actions continue the line of rough interference in the affairs of Syria and can be a “deliberate provocation.”
At the same time, he recalled that after the announcement of the creation of these forces, “clumsy refutations” were made, but in fact, the activities to take control of the border continued.
“Either this is a misunderstanding of the whole situation, or a deliberate provocation,” the Russian FM stressed.
