The Central network of the Russia-run Humeimim airbase announced that the Russian fighter jets have pounded the strongholds of the terrorist group that are considered as threats to the de-escalation zone agreement in Eastern Ghouta.
The Humeimim center further said that the fighter jets’ attacks were carried out after the terrorists said openly that they attacked the Syrian Army positions by the bomb-laden vehicles.
Military analysts said that the Russian air force’s back up in the battle against the terrorists in the region will help the Syrian troops to continue their operation to capture Arbin triangle, Mesraba, Harasta and a security circle around the Vehicles Management Center to protect it against terrorists’ threats.
Field reports said that the terrorists intended to expand the lands under their control and connect their positons in Harasta to Arbin and Mesraba and also lay siege on the Vehicles Management Centers and the governor’s office, but their plan was foiled by the army’s vigilance.
Military sources confirmed on Sunday that the army sent a large number of forces known as the Arab National Guard and military equipment to Harasta region in Eastern Damascus.
The sources said that the fresh forces would join their comrades’ campaign against terrorists in the Vehicles Management Center.
