The air strike by the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia on Monday led to the death of at least 50 Houthis in the west of Yemen, and also destroyed their ballistic missile shortly before its launch, Sky News Arabia reported.
Houthis insurgents from the Shiite Ansar Alla movement in Yemen since 2014 are fighting the government, supported by the Arab coalition led by Riyadh. At the end of 2017, the Houthis tried twice to strike a rocket attack on Riyadh, but Saudi air defense systems managed to knock down missiles in the air.
“More than 50 militants of Iranian-funded troops were killed during the bombing of the coalition, whose purpose was military reinforcements in the areas of Jarakhi and Hayes, as well as in the vicinity of Tuheita at the front on the west coast,” the channel reports.
