A meeting of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovation Development and Entrepreneurship with the Secretary of the Serbian Ministry of Industry, Dragan Stanovanic, took place in Belgrade. It was about expanding Russian-Serbian economic cooperation, and first of all about privatization.
Stevanovic presented to Russian parliamentarians a portfolio of privatization of the Ministry of Industry, especially pointing to three chemical companies: Petrohemia, Azotaru and MSC, the press service of the Serbian Ministry of Press reported.
According to him, there are other companies in the privatization portfolio that may be of interest to Russian investors, and asked the committee members for assistance in this direction.
Participants of the Russian delegation expressed gratitude to the leadership of Serbia for a clear position on non-alignment with anti-Russian sanctions.
“Serbia’s relations with Russia are friendly, based on political and economic cooperation,” the ministry official said, confirming that the attitude towards sanctions was repeatedly stated personally by Serbian President Alexander Vucic.
