Syrian government forces, led by the Tiger Forces, are crushing ISIS terrorists on the western bank of the Euphrates River in the province of Deir Ezzor.
Last weekend, government troops liberated the villages of Salhiyah, al-Jadleh, Qusur Um Saba, Safsafeh, Ajrama, Wadi al-Worod, Maan Al-Sabkha and al-Shamr al-Layeh and the al-Ward oil field in the area between the government-held cities of al-Mayadin and al-Bukamal.
On Monday, the Tiger Forces and their allies continued advancing in the area and allegedly entered the village of al-Qut’ah. Clashes are ongoing.
The western bank of the Euphrates and the Homs desert are the last ISIS-held areas which ISIS can use as its permanent foothold in Syria. It looks the terrorist group will lost its remaining aarea in the Ehuprates Valley soon.
