In Sarajevo, police arrested a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina Emin Hodzic, who had a large arsenal of weapons. It is established that this man fought on the side of the “Islamic state” in Syria.
According to the Bosnian portal Avaza, referring to sources in the police, Hodzic was detained as a result of a routine check at the bus station near the US Embassy in Bosnia.
In the trunk of his car two rifles and 15 tapes of ammo, of which eight are already filled and ready for use, had been found.
After such a finding the police continued to search the car and were amazed. In the car was a hand mortar “Zola”, three grenades, an explosive and knives.
The Interior Ministry reported that Hodzic was arrested and an investigation is under way about his possible accomplices.
It is also noted that last year Hodzic was sentenced to a year in prison for illegal transfer of weapons and assistance to paramilitary structures. Such a soft punishment is due to the fact that he pleaded guilty.
He arrived in Syria in 2013 through Istanbul, fought on the side of the “Islamic state”. He is married to a Syrian citizen who is banned from entering Bosnia and Herzegovina.
