Russian Defense Minister, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu arrived in Cairo, where a meeting of the joint Russian-Egyptian commission for military-technical cooperation will be held.
During the visit, the minister will hold a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the head of the country’s Defense Ministry, Sedki Sobhy.
It is noted that Shoigu will discuss issues of international and regional security during his talks with the President of Egypt.
In late May, Shoigu noted the positive dynamics in the development of military cooperation between Russia and Egypt.
