The deputy of the National Council of Slovakia, Peter Marcek, asked to leave Crimea and Western Ukraine alone in their desire to decide their own destiny. He explained why he was going to raise the issue of recognizing the annexation of Crimea with Russia to a vote in parliament.
“For the sake of justice, to normalize the situation, stop violence and blackmail on the part of the EU and Ukraine, which seeks integration and has betrayed good relations with the Slavic peoples for a bowl of lentil soup from the West,” he said.
Marcek said that the topic of Crimea’s recognition and abolition of sanctions has been discussed for some time in the Slovak parliament, and local media “unilaterally submit information to people who do not have the slightest chance to find out the truth about the problem aspects of Ukrainian-Russian relations.”
