Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic stated that at least eight did not in fact give such recognition in the list of countries that recognized the independence of the self-proclaimed “Kosovo Republic”. If Serbia tightly tackles this issue, the number of recognized countries will fall below one hundred, the Foreign Minister added.
In an interview with “Evening News” in Paris, Dacic said, in particular, that he will find out whether Madagascar has recognized Kosovo, despite the statements of the “Kosovo” Foreign Minister Bejet Pacoli.
“I spoke with representatives of a number of countries that recognized Kosovo, and they allow the revision of this decision,” Dacic said, refusing to say which countries are involved in order not to play into the hands of Pristina.
“Kosovo” unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008. They are recognized, according to various estimates, 106 countries. The question of the exact number was exacerbated after Suriname announced a decision to cancel the recognition of Kosovo a few weeks ago.
