Dalia Grybauskaite signed the “Magnitsky Act”

The head of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaite, signed the “Magnitsky act”, which provides for the prohibition of foreigners entering the country connected with money laundering, violation of human rights and corruption.

A similar legal act was previously adopted in the US, Canada and Estonia.

According to the website of the Lithuanian government, Grybauskaitė was guided by the rule of law and respect for human rights.

“Those who violate the universally recognized human rights and freedoms must know that in the democratic world they are undesirable,” quotes the Lithuanian government Grybauskaite’s words.
