Russia is not mentioned in the final documents of the EU’s Eastern Partnership summit although participants in the summit could not by take up the ‘Russian theme’ in the course of discussions, the Russian Ambassador to the EU, Vladimir Chizhov said on Friday.
“As for the presence or absence of the Russian factor [in the final documents of the summit], I can state the absence of any mentioning of Russia there,” he said in a comment on the results of the summit. “It’s hard to imagine the Russian issue wouldn’t come into picture there.”
Chizhov added it would be hard to imagine Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko could leave the issue aside.
Along with it, he said Ukraine’s initiatives to tarnish Russia failed to reach the desired results.
