On November 21, Syrian leader Bashar Assad paid a one-day visit to Russia to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and meet with the leadership of the Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. The leaders of the two countries noted the quick defeat of terrorists in Syria, and also discussed the principles of holding the Syria national dialogue congress in Russia’s Black Sea resort of Sochi.
The Syrian leader noted that the aerial support provided by the Russian Aerospace Forces had been key to resolving the conflict in Syria.
