In Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony, antiterrorist raids were conducted in the early morning of Tuesday. This was reported by the German edition of Die Welt. Six men from Syria were detained.
Eight apartments were inspected in these federal lands. Six Syrians aged between 20 and 28 years have so far been detained. According to Die Welt, they are suspected of being adherents of the terrorist group “Islamic State.” Mobile phones, laptop computers and documents of the detainees were withdrawn.
Police found suspects on the tip of refugees on suspected of organizing terrorist acts. The Syrians had previously moved to Germany under false documents as civil war refugees.
