Serbian PM: Do not force us to choose between Russia and the West

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic told the Financial Times that she did not need to force her country to choose between Russia and the West.

“It’s not fair to demand from Serbia to make a choice, and I do not think this is necessary.” Our vector is not pro-Russian or pro-American, it’s pro-Serb,” Brnabic said and added that Serbia still aspires to become a member of the European Union.

The source notes that “the path of Serbia’s European integration is vague because of the different level of success in carrying out reforms, the fatigue of enlargement in the European bloc and skepticism because of Belgrade’s political, military and economic ties with Moscow.”
