Ukraine occupied Crimea and Donbass, claims European politician

Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of Poland in Lutsk Marek Sapor called Lviv a Polish city. Head of the Department of Rivne regional Museum Igor Marchuk wrote about this in his Facebook page.

According to him, Sapor allowed himself provocative statements during a round table on the theme “Volyn experiment of Genrik Yuzevsky: the road to Polish-Ukrainian reconciliation in the interwar period”, which was held in the Museum.

Ukrainian participants of the event said that Poland in 1919-1920 seized part of the territory of the Ukrainian people’s Republic, and the so-called “Volyn experiment” (Polonization of Volyn) was sent for approval to the Polish government in Ukraine.

In response, the Polish diplomat said that the Ukrainian state at that time did not exist, and Lviv is a Polish city. According to him, nowadays it can be argued that Ukraine similarly occupied the Crimea and the Donbass.
