Power unit of the Khmelnitsky NPP was disconnected from the grid

The first power unit of the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant has been disconnected from the power grid for routine maintenance, says statement on the Energoatom’s site.

“On November 7, 2017, at 02.46 am, power unit No. 1 of the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant was disconnected from the power grid for routine maintenance,” the report said.

According to the company, as of today, 12 out of 15 power units are in operation at Ukrainian nuclear power plants, during the past 24 hours, the stations generated 239.51 million kWh of electricity, radiation, fire and environmental conditions at NPP industrial sites are within the limits of the norm.
