Vladimir Bogatyrev: US statements on Deir ez-Zor designed for European, American laymen

The representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Igor Konashenkov, described the US statement on Deir ez-Zor as a geographical absurdity. The commander of special operations of the coalition, James Gerrard, the day before, said that thousands of civilians fleeing from Deir ez-Zor to Meyadin from government troops.

According to the American commander, people are leaving to the north, controlled by the Syrian opposition. Konashenkov drew attention to several geographical inconsistencies. James Gerrard reported that there are 4,000 US troops in Syria, shortly after apologizing and calling the official figure of 500 people.

The political leadership of the United States is at a loss and is trying to complicate the process of political regulation in Syria, said Major-General of the Reserve, chairman of the board of directors of the National Association of Reserve Officers of the Armed Forces Vladimir Bogatyrev:

The political leadership of the United States, which oversees this direction of foreign policy, is at a loss. Do not know how to behave. They lost the campaign militarily, they are also behind in political terms, so they try to complicate the process of political regulation in Syria.

The use of special forces and means is a military, sometimes state secret, so this is rather an accidental clause where the general called a figure close to reality. From the point of view of the military, the most important thing is an attempt to hide the real efforts of Americans to intervene in the Syrian conflict.
