Interpol reported reasons for removing diffusion against Browder

The request for financier William Browder was removed from the Interpol database, as it did not comply with the rules. This was reported to RBC in the press service of the organization. “The diffusion against Browder, which was recently circulated, was found to be inadequate in the course of its consideration by the General Secretariat. All information pertaining to the request was removed from the Interpol database, which was notified to the participating countries,” the press service statement says.

The organization explained that the diffusion is a “request of one of the countries for cooperation” and is distributed directly between the countries that are members of the organization. It is noted that such a diffusion can be used for a request for arrest or obtaining a person’s location in connection with an investigation.

Earlier, in absentia convicted in Russia, Mr. Browder said that Interpol rejected the warrant for his arrest from Moscow. “Interpol has just confirmed that the order was blocked.”the financier said.
