Iraq, Syria & Lebanon’s Hezbollah receiving civil defence training from Iran

Head of Iran’s Civil Defence Organization Brigadier General Gholam Reza Jalali said the organization has provided Iraq, Syria and Lebanon’s Hezbollah Resistance Movement with training in civil defence.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Brigadier General Jalali highlighted the Civil Defence Organization’s cooperation with foreign countries, saying the organization has interacted with some countries and shared its experiences with them.

“We have provided Syria, Iraq and even Hezbollah with training assistance…,” he said, adding that the organization is prepared to give the countries more training in civil defence at their request.

Iraq and Syria have been gripped by insurgency with various terrorist groups, including Daesh (ISIS or ISIL), currently controlling parts of their territories.

In the meantime, Iran has remained a close ally of the countries and supports their legitimate governments in the face of foreign-backed militancy.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the official referred to foreign threats against Iran and said that given the new strategy of the US, Iran faces a new type of compound intelligent threats.

While the US rhetoric of military action against Iran has become a boring story for Iranians, the Islamic Republic’s officials have made it clear that the country’s Armed Forces are ready to give a crushing response to any act of aggression.

They have also stressed the need for maintaining preparedness in the face of all threats.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has on various occasions emphasized the necessity for incessant progress of the Iranian Armed Forces irrespective of political developments.
