At the NPP in Neteshin, Khmelnytsky region of Ukraine, during the repair of the power unit, a security system worked. This is reported by the operator of Ukrainian NPPs Energoatom.
“According to a preliminary assessment of the level of violations according to the international scale INES, this event is classified as a zero level “below the scale”, the report says.
Allegedly the tragedy almost happened because of a mistake by the staff.
According to the statement of Energoatom of Ukraine, the radiation situation in and around the NPP is normal.
