ISIS leader Al-Baghdadi released voice message for his followers for first time in months

On September 28, the ISIS-affiliated Al-Furqan media released a new voice message of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Al-Baghdadi message was the 45min long and almost half of it was dedicated to Islamic scriptures and stories.

In his message al-Baghdadi encouraged ISIS fighters and supporters to continue fighting and never give up the fight against the “enemies of Islam”.

Al-Baghdadi also asked ISIS supporters to prove that the bloodshed in Mosul, Raqqa and elsewhere was not for nothing “by clashing the shining swords and shedding filthy blood.”

“Beware of retreat, or the feeling of defeat, beware of negotiations or surrender. Do not lay down your arms,” Al- Baghdadi said.

Al-Baghdadi also attacked the US in his speech and said that it has become weaker, and claimed that it will “soon collapse and drag other nations with it.”

Moreover, Al-Baghdadi also said that Russia has taken control of the Syria situation.

“America, Europe and Russia are living in a state of terror,” Al-Baghdadi added.

This is considered the first voice message of ISIS leader in 11 months.

The message also denies the claims of the Ministry of Defense of Russia that al-Baghdadi was killed in a Russian airstrike on Raqqa city on May 28. Back than the US-led collation denied that al-Baghdadi was killed also.

Al-Baghdadi is now likely hiding somewhere along the Euphrates River Valley near the Syrian-Iraqi border, according to many experts. With the Iraqi Army, the Syrian Arab Army and the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces approaching last ISIS strongholds in the Euphrates River valley, al-Baghdadi will likely end up killed or captured within a year or two.
