The body of a journalist Pranciskus Schlujas, who opposed Lithuania’s membership in NATO, was found, Vesti Kaliningrad reports.
The body was found on September 25 at the Schlujas, manor in the Kayshadory district. He lay in a pool of blood with a broken head and other heavy injuries.
The circumstances of death are being clarified.
The leader of the Socialist Party of Lithuania Giedrius Grabauskas spoke about the activity of Schlujas.
“The journalist actively participated in public activities, he initiated a referendum so that only citizens of the country could purchase land in Lithuania, and foreigners had no right to do so, he openly expressed his opposition to Lithuania’s membership in NATO, actively fought corruption, said , that he was repeatedly threatened with reprisal,” Grabauskas said.
