Syrian refugees return to their homeland after establishing de-escalation zone

Daraa and Houran’s syrian refugees started to return to their homes from Jordan after the de-escalation zones had been set up.

The local authorities confirmed that about one hundred of Syrian refugees had been crossing the Nasib border every week on Tuesdays, arriving from the Jordan refugee camps.

It became possible mostly after Astana-5 peace talks last July, where the Daraa province had been entirely included in the de-escalation zone agreement.
