“Kosovo” is in no hurry to close the explosive problem in relations with Montenegro

The demarcation of the border between the self-proclaimed “Republic of Kosovo” and neighboring Montenegro has not yet been resolved. This was said by the Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli during a meeting with his Montenegrin counterpart Srdjan Darmanovic.

Pacolli thanked Podgorica for the fact of “Kosovo’s” recognition. But speaking of the demarcation, asked for patience, explaining that this is impossible “because of the balance of forces in the Kosovo parliament.”

Last year, attempts to ratify this document in the Kosovo parliament led to aggressive mass demonstrations and even armed threats against Montenegro from Albanian radicals. And on May 10, 2017 this same unresolved issue led to a vote of distrust and an extraordinary parliamentary election later.
