Kremlin commented on the transfer of Facebook data to the US authorities

A spokesman for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the information that the social network Facebook gave the US authorities data on the case of “Russian interference in US elections,” said that Russia has never posted advertising in the social network.

“We do not know who and how is placing advertising on Facebook, and never did it. And the Russian side has never been involved in this,” Peskov said.

Earlier, the founder of the American social network Facebook Mark Zuckerberg spoke about cooperation with the US government on investigation of the alleged Russian interference in the US elections in 2016, and also reported on the transfer of relevant data to the congress.
