The OSCE reported that Ukrainian border guards let the dogs loose on the observers of the Special Monitoring Mission (SMM).
It is noted that the incident occurred on September 17 near the border checkpoint in the Kherson region near the village of Ataman. According to the statement, mission representatives were attacked by three dogs, who were recalled, but after that they were again loose on the observers.
“At the request of the observers, the commander of the border guards recalled the dogs, but after that he released them two more times. They ran with an aggressive barking after the patrol car. The SMM patrol safely left the area,” the report says.
