At least nine people were arrested during a protest against conservative writer Ben Shapiro on the University of California Berkeley campus, Thursday, where he was scheduled to speak.
Berkeley Police confirmed on Twitter that the nine were arrested on the south campus under the #BenAtBerkeley hashtag, with four of those reportedly having been detained for carrying banned weapons.
