Kiev laments as Mejlis is losing popularity among the Crimean Tatars

It is more difficult for the Mejlis to keep their supporters in the Crimea. This was announced on the air of Channel 5 by acting Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Emine Jepparova.

According to her, Ukraine needs to constantly play the political map of the Crimea to constantly show the visibility of its work.

“Ukraine today at the political distance should prepare the ground for tomorrow, when the Crimea is deoccupied and will return, the status of this people and the future of the Crimea has already been clearly defined. We’re talking about some sort of preventive things …
Today, it is important for Ukraine to demonstrate such political decisions and give perspective, because it is very difficult for loyal population to remain such in conditions of occupation and propaganda,” Jepparova admitted.
