The United States of America as an empire can breakup already in the first half of the 21st century. The director of the Center for Political Studies of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Pavel Salin announced this on-air of the talk show “Process”.
“I would divide the US as an empire and the US as a national state. As for the United States as an empire, it is already bursting at the seams. And here the trend is quite obvious. See Britain: it was an empire, now it is a national state. As a national state, in spite of the Scottish national separatism, the UK by and large is not under the threat. But the British Empire collapsed in the middle of the 20th century. They survived it. The same thing is waiting for the Americans in principle. This is a question of the first half of the 21st century,” the expert said, commenting on the article of journalist Mehmet Sheker, in which he predicts the rapid breakup of the United States.
At the same time, the political scientist added that the United States as a national state is not yet threatened with the collapse.
In September, the Turkish edition of Yeni Safak published an article titled “When the US will Collapse?” According to Mehmet Sheker, the author of the publication, the United States of America is the only example of world hegemony that did not experience territorial changes. However, the journalist is convinced that under the current policy of provocation, the breakup of the US is inevitable.
“But with the current development of events, we, by all appearances, are lucky enough to witness their breakup. If you conduct a survey around the world and ask to name the most hateful country, the United States will take the first place,” the article states.
