New round of Syria peace talks begins in Astana

The sixth round of talks on Syria peace, which is being led by Iran, Russia and Turkey, kicked off in the Kazakh capital on Thursday.

The public session of Syria peace talks will be held on Friday.

The two-day Astana talks will focus on creating the fourth de-escalation zone in Idlib, a city in northwest of Syria.

Since March 2011, Syria has been suffering from unrest and the country has been the scene of terrorist acts.
