The President of Republika Srpska and the leader of the Union of Independent Social Democrats (SNDS), Milorad Dodik, rejected the idea of holding a referendum on the independence of Republika Srpska in 2018. He stated this on September 10 at a meeting with members of the party in the city of Bielin.
According to him, the idea of a possible referendum on the status of the Republika Srpska will be considered later.
As Dodik stressed, the question of the referendum on the status of the Republika Srpska is “postponed until later” so that this problem does not lead to the division of society.
