The shootout involving policemen occurred on Thursday at the Miami International Airport, the Associated Press reported.
According to unconfirmed reports, the police tried to neutralize a man with a knife. As a result, the suspect was injured, his severity is not reported.
The airport administration announced that the situation is under control. Nevertheless, one of the terminals servicing international flights was closed.
Because of the incident, a lot of people could not get on their flights, trying to leave Florida, on which the destructive hurricane Irma is moving. Many sorties have been postponed indefinitely.
