The artillery and missile units shelled heavily ISIS main command center in al-Huweiqa al-Qarbi neighborhood, destroying the command center and killing nine commanders.
Military sources said that Abu Oamr al-Karbouli, Abu Mohammad al-Sho’ayti, Abu Maryam al-Tayaneh, Abu Mo’aviyeh Idlib, Abu Dajaneh Bakras, Abu Obeidah al-Ani, Abu Salman al-Ahwazi and Abu Yaqoub al-Mohajer were the nine notorious ISIS commanders killed in the attack.
Also, the Syrian Air Force carried out a number of combat flights over ISIS positions in the villages of al-Ayyash, al-Shomeitiyeh, al-Masrab, al-Khariteh, al-Tabni and near Panorama base, killing and wounding a number of terrorists.
Meantime, local sources reported that a large number of ISIS commander and members deployed in Eastern and Western Deir ez-Zor have fled the battlefield amid rapid advances of the army men towards Deir ez-Zor city.
Local sources confirmed earlier today that the ISIS has launched mortar attacks on residential areas in Deir ez-Zor to take revenge from people that took to the streets and celebrated the rapid advances of the Syrian Army troops to remove the over three-year-long siege on the city.
The sources said that people in al-Qosour and al-Joureh neighborhoods poured into Deir ez-Zor streets and celebrated approach of army soldiers to Brigade 137 Base, getting ready to welcome the army men.
The sources added that ISIS mortar units launched a heavy shelling on residential areas in Deir ez-Zor city to take revenge from the people, killing five of them and wounding several more.
