The White House Press Secretary has reported that US President Donald Trump will make a visit to flood-ravaged Texas on Tuesday.
US President Donald Trump will travel to Texas for a photo op on Tuesday, and arrangements are being made with local authorities as the state struggles with catastrophic flooding in the wake of Tropical Storm Harvey, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Sunday.
“The President will travel to Texas on Tuesday. We are coordinating logistics with state and local officials, and once details are finalized, we will let you know,” Sanders said.
The Category 4 hurricane made landfall on Friday and has since been demoted to a tropical storm, but has brought record-breaking rainfall to southern Texas.
All flights have been canceled in Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental and William P. Hobby airports, and rescue operations are ongoing in the state.
